| Often called by a variety of names but most often known as Slit Drape, Slash Curtain or Shimmer Curtain. Slit Drape is a dressing effect that can liven up most stages or rooms. Being made of lightweight plastic, it can move and rustle in the slightest draught and being highly reflective can cast shards of light that make most rooms look spectacular. |  |
| It's easy to hang, each piece is cut to leave a header strip at one end that can be pinned or stapled directly to a wall or picture rail - most theatres fix each length to a piece of wooden batten which is then tied on to a flying bar. Storage is even easier - either its left in situ (or double hung with cyc cloth) or taken down and wrapped round a strip of cardboard. | |

It comes in a variety of colours - the most common used to be gold or silver but these days a veritable rainbow of colours is available and in a variety of lengths. We keep some 'common' lengths in stock and we can source longer (or shorter) lengths to order - it's also possible to have a wider strip than the usual where the drape is going to be hung on a large stage. The pictures on this page don't do justice to how good it looks when hung but they give you an idea of what it looks like. |
